History Top Fish
Fisherman Douwe Gnodde had worked with fish all his life and decided to put this experience into practice on the mainland in 1992.
He translated his expertise of the sea into founding Top Fish Seafood with an eye on quality.
The company has since become a true family business and is run by Douwe’s sons Fokke, Peter and Jan-Marten Gnodde.
What makes Top Fish unique is the passion for the trade in the Gnodde family.
You can see that reflected in the way they work.
All the owners are still working on the company’s floor every day.
In this way, every fish comes into contact with one of these men.
The quality control is therefore excellent.
Since 2001, Top Fish Seafood has been operating from new and modern premises on the Breehorn in the industrial area of Urk.
As a result, the company meets the strictest requirements in the field of food safety and quality.
The company therefore naturally has a BRC certificate with A-status.
In 2020, the company installed 224 solar panels on the roof in order to also grow sustainably as a company and do its bit.
